Olga Snyder
“A lot of my artwork is inspired by the leaves, trees, fields, hills, sun, and stars of my home in the magnificent Pennsylvania Wilds. It’s an outstanding environment to create in.”

Olga Snyder

Olga Snyder began studying art at a very young age in her native country, Ukraine. She graduated from the Youth Art School in Poltava, when she was 16 years old and in 1990 she graduated from Decorative Arts College in Mirgorad, Ukraine.

As well as being a professional artist and arts instructor, Olga is still a student of the arts and enjoys exploring new artistic mediums and techniques. Her most well known work includes exquisite Ukrainian eggs, stunning hand-painted glass, one-of-a-kind jewelry, and vibrant hand-knit wearable art.

Olga’s gallery and studio is named Olga s Living with Art. It is situated in a renovated Victorian-era building on Route 6 in historical downtown Coudersport and offers one of the widest-selections of hand-made fine arts and crafts in the beautiful Pennsylvania Wilds. Furthermore, she offers instruction in the arts and crafts to both children and adults through classes, workshops, and Summer Art Camps.

Olga is a member of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen, Northern Tier Cultural Alliance, Potter County Fine Arts Council, and is actively promoting a rural Renaissance in her community. Olga, her husband John, and son Taras live on John’s grandfather’s farm on Crandall Hill outside of Coudersport.

 Zephyr Art

Zephyr Art is a pair of sister artists, Julie Barrett Cataldo and Eppie Cataldo Bailey, that create unique and original artwork.  They worked together in Tenessee until the summer of 2003, when Eppie moved to Coudersport, PA.  Since then they continue to work together, though in separate locations, and have completed projects such as the Missing Piece (a community workshop), The Foundry Piece Series, several abstracts, Zephyr Art Rag Sculptures, and more. They also work with their local arts councils and art organizations, providing artistic support (logos, designs and promotional artwork) for various art shows and festivals.

The women, combined, have over twenty years of public experience in the Arts. Though they have received both studio and university training, they like to consider themselves predominantly self-taught. A good selection of their work is featured at Olga’s Living with Art.
